Working With Cancer, an initiative from Publicis Groupe, aims to help those battling cancer and other chronic diseases.
In a world where 50% of people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, an initiative by Publicis Groupe aims to help its employees facing the disease. As the largest creative and media agency in Hungary, following the lead of its headquarters, the company has launched Working With Cancer. The aim of this program is to erase the stigma of disease in the workplace and guarantee financial assistance for those battling cancer.
For those employees with cancer or other chronic disease, the company will continue to pay 100% of their basic salary and benefits for one year after diagnosis. Additionally, those who have immediate family members living with chronic diseases can participate in various support programs. Working with Cancer came to fruition after Arthur Sadoun, the CEO of Publicis Groupe, was diagnosed with cancer.
The Working with Cancer program is an alliance of international companies, including Google, Meta, McDonald’s, Microsoft, Nestlé, and Unilever. So far, the program has had a positive impact on 20 million people. The campaign film “Monday” premiered during this year’s Super Bowl. Since World Cancer Day on February 4th, participating partners have offered more than $100 million in support.
