The first Agency People of the Year Awards

The Agency People of the Year awards don’t need an introduction – everyone within our industry knows just how much those statuettes mean internationally. Its origins date back to Campaign magazine’s Agency of the Year competition which became known as the benchmark for excellence in the global scene.

MAKSZ, the sole organization representing Hungarian communication agencies of all disciplines, brought the original accolades to Hungary, focusing on the unsung heroes of the industry. According to the organizers: ”This not only sends an important message to the domestic professional community but also provides an opportunity for the winners to gain international recognition.” The categories and judging criteria of the competition have been developed alongside the original owners and according to international standards. Jess McDermot, the Global Portfolio Director at Haymarket Media Group (Campaign magazine’s parent company), was present at the award ceremony hosted in our very own Publicis House in Budapest. During her speech, she expressed profound gratitude for the local organization and highlighted the fact that while we are celebrating in Budapest, the name of the award reaches far away from our borders.

Our team amassed 11 shortlists and brought home 4 awards in the following categories: SEM & Programmatic Manager of the Year, Non-Media and Media Client Service Person of the Year, as well as Front Office Manager of the Year.

This recognition highlights one thing that we believe in: that people matter the most. Our creative, restless, and ambitious team at Publicis House inspires our work daily and dominates the world stage. We create amazing, innovative, and groundbreaking things, together, and more importantly, we bring people together. That is the magic in our work.
